Jessica Simpson? Is that you?

Allegedly...this is Jessica Simpson on the cover of Elle magazine. You wouldn't know it though since it looks more like a caricature.
Oh, and apparently she's gone country. What's the deal with downgrading to country? Is it because it's easier to be successful in that genre? Michelle Branch did it a while back once she started going downhill in pop music. Maybe Jessica saw the writing on the wall and decided to jump in the kiddie pool of music. It's like she took her Daisy Duke character from Dukes of Hazzard and decided to make a career of it.

Which one of these women do you want your news from?

Well, the good news is there's no right or wrong answer. They're all beautiful in their own right.
Let's face it, television is a very visual medium. It pays to look good. It's sad but true...even if you are a thorough, well-rounded journalist, it doesn't mean a thing unless you have some looks to back it up. Just flip through any news shows and you'll see a parade of bleach blonde babes and sultry senoritas, each one more gorgeous than the last. You don't need to be fluent in Spanish to appreciate the beauties frequently on Univision.
With all that said, Univision senior reporter Myriam Ayala may have a good case here. At first glance, many bloggers are quick to fire off that the reporter is just sour over better looking women leap-frogging over her. There may be more beneath the surface with this. Many of these bloggers probably didn't bother to read the full document (which is available at TMZ). It's easy for people to point and laugh at something like this, and it's easy to say this is a silly lawsuit...but would you laugh if this happened to you? Based on the allegations her attorneys are bringing forward, it sounds like Ayala's been discriminated against.
There's more to this than meets the eye. It can't be summed up in a short soundbite or a quick blog post.
This is really a classic television news dilemma. Do you go for the beauty with no brains or do you go for the true journalist, who may not compete in the looks department. Maybe it doesn't have to be one way or the other. A good mix of the two would do just fine...and the cream rises to the top.

John Kerry may not be president, but cute co-eds seem to like him

"Electoral college girls gone wild!" That's what TMZ's describing it as. The man who almost was president took some time out for a photo-op with some partying hotties. Now in the K-man's defense, this kind of thing could happen to anybody. Even if he's not guilty of anything, he still looks he's getting caught red-handed doing something that he shouldn't be doing. The man just posed for a picture. Somebody like him still should look out for being portrayed in an unfavorable light. You know, that goes for everybody. Why do people feel so compelled to snap pictures when they are acting their dumbest? Have you seen Myspace and Facebook lately? It's an endless parade of drunkards. Or at least that's what it looks like. For all you know these people might go out drinking once a year. But if that's the only pictures you ever post...well it makes you look like that's what you're all about.

Paris Hilton puts her name on something for you to buy

Paris Hilton is quite a renaissance woman. She has her hand in many things. Apparently she has her own line of shoes. It must be nice to have a name so well-known that you could attach it to just about any product and it'll sell just because your name is on it. The shoes can be horrible looking and even fall apart before you get to the cash register...and it still wouldn't matter. Some freaks out there will buy it. It's got the Paris seal of approval! And just think, this all started with a sex tape.

You oughta know...Alanis Morissette has "lots of sex"

The word "sex" is always an attention-grabber. Apparently Canadian singer Alanis Morissette has lots of it. The 34-year-old has been on "lots of dates" after splitting with her former fiance Ryan Reynolds back in February 2007.
While we're on the subject of Alanis...she's due for a renaissance. It's hard to believe but it's been well over a decade since she broke onto the music scene with her hit album Jagged Little Pill.

Hot in theory

Some women seem to have all the elements to be beautiful, but somehow something just isn't right. It's kind of like they're good on paper, but something about the finished product is just a little off.
Shauna Sand is one of those women. Tanned body and in shape. Check. Long, blonde hair. Check. Full lips and symmetrical features. Check. But something about her particular ingredients doesn't make a tasty stew.
I know it's totally being nit-picky. I'm sure a lot of you guys appreciate her.
Here's a link to Shauna out and about in a bikini.

No shame in Mr. Belding's game

This is disturbing. Yes, that is "Mr. Belding" from Saved By the Bell. And yes, he is dancing with hot chicks in Las Vegas. Further proof that a little fame will take you a long way.

Miley Cyrus doesn't need condoms

Alright, here's the deal. This is the first post about Miley Cyrus, and for good reason. First of all, she's 15. She's just a kid. And she's going to be a kid for a few more years. But that's pretty much what this little rant is all about. I can't stress enough that this is a little girl we're talking about. And not only that, her fans are pretty much her age and younger. So, we're practically talking about tweens here and even younger. So it was kind of surprising to hear the news about a condom company hoping to nab Little Miss Miley as their spokes-girl.
LifeStyles Condoms claims to have offered the Disney star a cool $1 million to represent them. At least that's according to the quote from the company's VP of marketing. Cyrus' rep reportedly says they never got such an offer.
This would be a bad idea. An underaged person shouldn't be involved with something like this. What have we come to? This is a kid! The idea that anyone would even entertain this thought even briefly is just nuts. This whole idea sounds like something dreamed about someone who wants to drum up controversy. Let the kid stick to what she does best. She'll have plenty of time to go through her whole "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" phase, just like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera did.

Batman's Beauties - The gorgeous women of the caped crusader series

In honor of The Dark Knight, this summer's big blockbuster, we thought we'd take a look at some of the beautiful women who've been involved with the caped crusader over the years.
Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight. Katie Holmes (shown at right) had the role in the 2005 movie, Batman Begins. The character appears exclusively in the movies, and is not based on a comic-book character.
Before director Chris Nolan rebooted the series with The Dark Knight and Batman Begins, Joel Schumacher directed Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997).

Alicia Silverstone introduced Batgirl in Batman & Robin. She dates back to the early 90s when she burst onto the scene in Aerosmith's videos for Cryin' and Amazing. She's also known for PETA's first-ever naked veggie testimonial ad.
Uma Thurman is also in it as Poison Ivy.
In Batman Forever the series introduced Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore and Debi Mazar.

Before all that, there was the Batman series of movies directed by Tim Burton. In Batman Returns (1992), Michelle Pfeiffer took on the role of Catwoman. Also worth noting, Halle Berry starred as Catwoman in a movie of the same name in 2004.

Indiana Jones and his leading ladies

Indiana Jones is back on the big screen after nearly two decades. The adventuring archaeologist is known for getting out of tight spots, and bringing along lovely ladies for the ride. We thought we'd take a look back at the leading ladies who shared the silver screen with Indy over the years.

Back in the summer of 1981, Indiana Jones burst onto the scene along with a feisty sidekick, Marion Ravenwood. The role made a name for Karen Allen (born October 5, 1951). Twenty-seven years later, Allen and Indy star Harrison Ford would be reunited for the fourth installment of the movie series, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Fans flocked to theaters when the movie debuted, pushing it to the top of the box office.

The summer movie season of 1984 featured a second Indiana Jones installment, this time a prequel called "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." In this one Indy goes on an adventure with Willie Scott, a nightclub singer working in Shanghai. Kate Capshaw (born Kathleen Sue Nail) plays a "damsel in distress" type, unlike the strong heroine Allen played as Marion in the previous film. Capshaw went on to marry director Steven Spielberg in 1991. Capshaw made the cast despite heavy competition, including Sharon Stone.

The 1989 film "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" was supposed to be the third and final chapter of the series. But it was not to be. The Indy character lived on in may ways. He showed up in a television series, "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles," video games, toys, and even a fourth movie in 2008.
"Last Crusade" focuses on Indy's relationship with his father, who is played by legendary actor Sean Connery. Word is Connery was asked to reprise his role for the fourth film, but could not be coaxed out of retirement. When Indy goes out to search for his father, he meets a breath-taking Austrian art professor, Dr. Elsa Schneider. A young Irish actress named Alison Doody won the role. She was largely unknown as an actress at the time. She was born November 11, 1966, and a bit younger than the professor she portrayed.

In the years following the third movie, rumors circulated over the possibility of another Indy movie. Eventually plans were made for a fourth outing. Harrison Ford wasn't getting any younger, so the script would have to take into account the passage of time. Instead of being set in the 1930s, the fourth movie flashed forward to 1957, to adjust for the ages of the actors. Indy would be reunited with Marion, some 27 years after they battled the Nazis in "Raiders of the Lost Ark." This time around Indy goes up against Soviet agents, led by Irina Spalko, played by Cate Blanchett. Producer Frank Marshall says Spalko continued the tradition of Indy having a love-hate relationship "with every woman he ever comes in contact with". Spielberg praised Blanchett as a "master of disguise", and considers her his favorite Indiana Jones villain.

Accept no imposters!

OK, it's not that hard. That is the REAL Kim Kardashian. Accept no imitations!
According to Kim's blog, someone who barely (at best) looks like her is going around saying she is the big-bootied one. But that ole girl is clearly not the real deal.

"I am angry and disappointed to hear that people are going around a Houston, Texas, nightclub pretending to be me and pretending to work with me, lying and conning my friends and fans.
"A man in Houston has been selling tickets and promoting me and my image without my permission - and you know who you are - and taking a look-a-like to clubs pretending to be me, but hiding behind dark sunglasses and curtains - refusing to meet or speak to anyone. THIS IS NOT ME!"

Props to officialkimkardashian.com for the bodacious photo of the real Kim. Hopefully, it will help us all sort this crazy thing out!
